WHY WHAT WHERE
WHAT EXACTLY IS THIS EVENT ?

WHO
Kid-A is an award-winning UK based Telco agency currently running Vodafone UK’s accessories business and are at the forefront of the industry regarding sustainability.
WHAT
A discussion with key partners on what Kid-A has done so far on our Net Zero journey and the need for our brand partners and suppliers to immediately engage with the initiatives that will deliver a decarbonised and sustatainable category.
WHY DO IT
Kid-A is on a sustainable journey and has secured accreditations such as SBTi, B Corp, Social Enterprise, All Party Parlimentary Group Environment (APPGE) putting them at the forefront of the industry. The event is designed to demystify the Net Zero journey and get us all ready for the demands of the next decade on transitioning to a carbon neutral economy. Vodafone Procurement Company have taken a lead and signed up to SBTi and the Carbon Disclosure Project which demands suppliers disclose emissions across scope one, two and three and takes steps to reduce impact.

Matt Black
Matt Black is one half of the legendary DJ crew Coldcut as well as being the Co-Founder of one of the most visionary record labels on the planet, Ninja tune. Home to such groundbreaking artists as such Roots Manuva, Bonobo, Bicep, Little Dragon, Mr Scruff and many more.
Ninajtune is one of the most sustainable labels out there and Matt will be giving us live examples as to what Ninjatune has done in the music business to be at the forefront of sustainability.

Bobbie Mellor
Bobbie Mellor is the Global Head of Sustainability and Transparency at Vodafone Group. She leads Vodafone's ESG strategy globally, with responsibility for carbon reduction, circularity, human rights, and digital inclusion. Bobbie is passionate about aligning business success with positive societal and economic outcomes and has a track record in leading businesses along the- often challenging- transition to a low-carbon economy. Bobbie's passion for climate action extends outside the office, and in December 2023 she will lead a team of three women to row across the Atlantic Ocean, with a goal of raising £280,000 for charities tackling the climate crisis.


About Sarah
Sarah Cook
Sarah Cook is Head of Environment Programme at the UN Global Compact Network UK,
responsible for overseeing initiatives to drive corporate action across all areas of environmental sustainability including climate change, nature, water and the circular economy.
She has extensive marketing and commercial experience within the corporate sector, launching new categories and brands with FMCG businesses such as Nutricia and Warburtons before specialising in mission-led marketing, sustainability, and social impact at founding UK B Corps Pukka Herbs and Neighbourly, an ESG community impact platform.
She has an LLB in Law from Reading University and is an alumna of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership


About Ben
Ben Wood
Ben has over 25 years' experience in the mobile sector, most recently helping CCS Insight grow into a multimillion-pound business with a global team of highly respected analysts. As Chief Analyst, he oversees all CCS Insight's research deliverables and leads initiatives such as the annual Predictions event. As CMO, he is focused on building brand awareness, marketing programmes and supporting the growth of the business. Previously he led a global team of analysts as Research VP at Gartner. Prior to that he was a director of Mobile Streams, and held positions at Lucent Technologies and Vodafone. He is proud of having been involved in the launch of SMS and cellular data at Vodafone. In 2021 he was ranked as one of the top five tech analysts in the US and Europe by Apollo Research. He is frequently quoted in publications such as the Financial Times and The Economist, and regularly appears on the BBC and other media outlets. Ben is the founder and co-curator of the Mobile Phone Museum, a non-profit initiative to safeguard a vast collection of mobile phones and support education about communications technology.
